Mulder's first contact "above" him, although it Deep Throat who contacted him first, to
warn him about Ellens Air Force Base. He has willing provided Mulder with much classified
information, unlike his successor Mr. X. He had shown a great
interest in Mulder's work and was committed to leading him along the right path before
he was murdered.
